I burnt myself and it hurts

So I thought it'd be a good idea to catch some wax on fire and then pour it on my finger while it was still on fire.
I guess I was wrong.
If feels a little better now but man it hurt last night. I now have a mild 2nd degree burn on my index finger that still has wax in it because it hurts too much to peel the wax off the burn. I hope that won't cause any problems.

Ouch, that looks painful! When I was younger I did an equally silly thing, spraying deodorant into a can and then lighting it with a lighter. That sort of obliterated the whole side of my thumb for about a month. Wasn't nice.

Maybe you should try heating your finger slightly to loosen the wax that's embedded? (Like, with warm water, not a lighter).

Ouch, burning wax does hurt. I've found that alcohol gel sanitizer is better for lighting body parts. It doesn't get as hot or make as much of a mess as wax. (mess, as in burned skin, blisters, residue, etc.)
