I wish I didn't

"I hear the sound of a heart from the shadow in the dark, waiting for the poison to hit its mark."
"I guess there comes a point when you think to yourself, 'this isn't worth it, it isn't worth it'. And know I feel what what you felt, And know I feel what what you felt this time, brother, And know I feel what what you felt, this isn't worth it, it isn't worth it."
"There's a voice in the shadow that is beckoning me."
"I wish it didn't end this way."
"What am i suppose to do now?"
"I hear the sound of a heart from the shadow in the dark, waiting for the poison to hit its mark."

I found this out yesterday and its pretty cool. I know you probably have my blog bookmarked right? Well, if you using Firefox or Mozilla browsers ( and you should be) then you can subscribe to my blog with a live bookmark(or for that matter anybodies blog that uses Blogger.) All you do is click the little icon in the lower right coner that apears. The live bookmark keeps track or all the posts that I make and bookmarks them while they're on the main page. Palm 50/50 Groundspeak Travel Bug Details

I found a Travel Bug(TB) in a geocache! It's pretty cool. I has traveled all the way from Hawaii, to my hands. :) Geocaching is so cool, and its free after you get a GPS so that makes it even cooler. I'm not sure where I'm going to put the travel bug. I'm suppose to put it 50mi away from where I found it. Might have to go out of my way a little to find a cache that is that far away. But it will be fun.

Dynamic Network Services, Inc. -- DynDNS.org -- Welcome

I think I've finally found it. The answer was not to make my IP static but to use a free dynamic DNS. I found this while browsing through my router settings. I think this will do what I want it to do.

Now if I can just get all this stuff to work together I'll be doing good.

Geocaching

So geocashing is pretty much the coolest thing in the whole world. At least at the moment. Go buy yourself a gps so you can take part in the coolest treasure hunting game ever made.
Geocaching

Does it get any better than a bunch of geeks running around looking for a small tupperware container!!??

Where Are All the Dead Animals?

Finally some good news to come out of this horrible tsunami situation.
Yahoo! News - Where Are All the Dead Animals? Sri Lanka Asks : "'No elephants are dead, not even a dead hare or rabbit,' he added. 'I think animals can sense disaster. They have a sixth sense. They know when things are happening.'"

A Server of Your Own

Ah ha! This is the type of article that I've been looking for.
A Server of Your Own

sniff sniff.... I'd love to have a server of my own...

NOTE: seems to only work with static IP's hmmmm still working on how to fix the dynamic IP problem. Still a good article though.

NOTE: This article is for linux but linux is cool and you should use it, anyway the article is a little dated too, but still useful

Na-No-Blog-Mo

TheNa-No-Blog-Moblog is a novel idea. People have used their blogs to write online books/short stories. I think that's pretty cool. You should check some of them out.

welcome to flickr another picture hosting program. I have been using Hello and its really cool but flickr has some advantages too. The 2 major advantages over Hello that I see right off the bat:
1. the image doesn't have to be jpeg, it can be gif (or whatever I think)
2. It has a photo orginizer build in that can be public or private. its prett cool

there is a monthly upload limit, and when it leaves the beta version some of the options will be limited. But it works with mac (Peter rejoices). Both Hello and Flickr have thier uses it seems. I think I'll continue to use blogger for most of my jpegs, but now I'll be able to upload other picture formats too.

Boy in a Santa suit asked to quit dance

"There is a separation of church and state."

"The last time I checked, Christmas was the celebration of the birth of Christ and not Santa Claus," Leslie said.
Hampton Union Local News: Boy in a Santa suit asked to quit dance

Wow, this is really outrageous. I really had a hard time believing this. Somebody got banned from a holiday party because they were wearing a Santa costume. What is the world comming to?!!!

Stranded

yeaaaaah I'm stranded. I'm on my way home from a ski/snowboard trip in Colorado (I'll post pictures later). Now I'm stranded in Marion, IL hanging out in a Hampton Inn with broadband access in my room. But I-24 is jammed pack with stranded motorist (glad we stopped here). Hopefully I'll be able to leave shortly. But right now I'm just making the most of it.
