Where Are All the Dead Animals?

Finally some good news to come out of this horrible tsunami situation.
Yahoo! News - Where Are All the Dead Animals? Sri Lanka Asks : "'No elephants are dead, not even a dead hare or rabbit,' he added. 'I think animals can sense disaster. They have a sixth sense. They know when things are happening.'"

A Server of Your Own

Ah ha! This is the type of article that I've been looking for.
A Server of Your Own

sniff sniff.... I'd love to have a server of my own...

NOTE: seems to only work with static IP's hmmmm still working on how to fix the dynamic IP problem. Still a good article though.

NOTE: This article is for linux but linux is cool and you should use it, anyway the article is a little dated too, but still useful

Na-No-Blog-Mo

TheNa-No-Blog-Moblog is a novel idea. People have used their blogs to write online books/short stories. I think that's pretty cool. You should check some of them out.

welcome to flickr another picture hosting program. I have been using Hello and its really cool but flickr has some advantages too. The 2 major advantages over Hello that I see right off the bat:
1. the image doesn't have to be jpeg, it can be gif (or whatever I think)
2. It has a photo orginizer build in that can be public or private. its prett cool

there is a monthly upload limit, and when it leaves the beta version some of the options will be limited. But it works with mac (Peter rejoices). Both Hello and Flickr have thier uses it seems. I think I'll continue to use blogger for most of my jpegs, but now I'll be able to upload other picture formats too.

Boy in a Santa suit asked to quit dance

"There is a separation of church and state."

"The last time I checked, Christmas was the celebration of the birth of Christ and not Santa Claus," Leslie said.
Hampton Union Local News: Boy in a Santa suit asked to quit dance

Wow, this is really outrageous. I really had a hard time believing this. Somebody got banned from a holiday party because they were wearing a Santa costume. What is the world comming to?!!!

Stranded

yeaaaaah I'm stranded. I'm on my way home from a ski/snowboard trip in Colorado (I'll post pictures later). Now I'm stranded in Marion, IL hanging out in a Hampton Inn with broadband access in my room. But I-24 is jammed pack with stranded motorist (glad we stopped here). Hopefully I'll be able to leave shortly. But right now I'm just making the most of it.

Phone Location Lookup

So somebody called you< and you don't recognize the number and then they don't even leave a message. Happens to me all to often well here's a little tool where you can at least find which city the phone number came from. It's way cool.

Funny Sorry Pictures (Election 2004)

wow I found this fantastic webblog called http://www.sorryeverybody.com/ it make me laugh. I will post the pictures that make me smile the most!

what a great photoshop! of course we shouldn't blame Kerry. It was the American People that voted for Bush!

what face is he making anyway?!?

this ones great! What type of math has he be smoking?!? not very good with numbers I guess

oooohhhh... mysterious

I wonder if she's sorry? did somebody give her detention or something? nice little rows too...

50% of TEXAS?!?!? what a minute... only 39%(cnn.com) of Texas voted AGAINST Bush... another person that has trouble with math

This, my friends, is a fantastic idea. I think we should all walk around with sticky-notes on are foreheads' that way when we bump into someone we don't have to say anything.

And my favorite one! This is why Bush won! b/c pandas didn't get out and vote. If the pandas had voted, Bush wouldn't have had a chance! Posted by Hello

Timesplitters 2 hidden voices

My friend Matt(how should have a blog but doesn't) found these crazy hidden voices in Timesplitters 2 on gamecube. The voices are slowed down a lot so you can just barely tell they're voices. Matt recorded them and then speed them back up. Its pretty cool. This is what I know so far.

You have to wait about 45 seconds on the title screen for it to start. Then you hear voices for about 2 minutes(about 30 secs after sped up)Then there's probably about another minute or so of sounds... but no more speaking, until the very end... When a female voice says, "Is that too loud?".

I thought it was pretty cool, so I search google and couldn't find anything about it, so I thought it my duty to but something on the internet about it.

PHPBuddy.com - PHP vs ASP

Because of this link: PHPBuddy.com - PHP vs ASP and others I think I'm going to see if I can run PHP on the UTC server. While I haven't ever written any PHP before I've written just a little ASP so I don't think I'll get confused. PHP is supposed to be pretty easy I think. I guess I'll find out.
